POWERCLEAT™ Molded Crescent Conveyor Belting

The PowerCleat™ is a 1/2" crescent cleat profile ideal for various applications and conveyed products. The crescent shape was designed by Motion Conveyance Solutions for better flex when discharging, allowing for a cleaner discharge of material with less carryback. As a belt wraps the pulley where the product is ejected or transferred, the flexing motion of the belt creates a “pocket” that separates the product from the belt. This allows the U-shaped crescent design to collect less buildup than the standard V-shaped chevron pattern. Additionally, the overlapping pattern creates less noise and chatter on return rollers.

Typical chevron pattern belts have a V-shaped pattern, which can accumulate material at the point of the V-impression, increasing material carryback that binds to the belt. Another common issue is material fallback, where the material falls back down the conveyor as angles increase.

 

The PowerCleat™ was engineered to increase carrying capacity when compared to conventional multi-chevron belts. This allows for greater conveyor incline angles with reduced material fallback.
